Aeschylus is considered the father of Greek tragedy. He's regarded as the first writer in history to express in dramatic form the view that life is basically a tragedy. It is said that one day a soothsayer warned Aeschylus that he would be fatally struck on his head by a falling object. So he fled to an open wheat field. Unfortunately for Aeschylus, there was an eagle flying overhead looking for a hard object on which to drop the tortoise it was carrying in its claws. The eagle mistook Aeschylus' bald head for a rock and dropped the tortoise which landed on his head instantly killing him. What does this teach us? We tend to live what we believe and if we believe that life's a tragedy, we'll tend to live a tragic life. Much of what we blame on others or on society or on life is really a reflection of our own nature. But God has called you to live a good life. How? You must believe the good and believe the victory. No matter what goes on in the world, you believe the Good News of God - and you'll live a life, not of tragedy - but of victory. And while you're at it, watch out for falling turtles.
