Messiah said, "He who puts his hands to the plow and looks back, isn't worthy of Me." The sign of a disciple is the one who puts his hands to the plow. But the plougher has to look and walk ahead. To walk ahead while looking back is to lead a divided walk. Walk that way and eventually you're going to crash. A disciple must be someone who's always looking ahead. Remember what happened to Lot's wife? Don't look back into the past. Don't dwell in regret. Don't long for what once was. Don't dwell on what you did wrong or the wrong that was done to you. The past is past. Put it away along with the old life. In God there's no rear view mirror. It's only ahead. Paul said, "This I do, forgetting what is behind, I press on." Look forward because in God, it's what's ahead that matters. Put your hands to the plow and stop wavering. As Paul did, fix your eyes on what lies before you, the future - because that's where Messiah is - before you. You have only one direction - forward.

Today, stop looking back. Put your hands to the plow and move forward in the Lord's calling for your life.
