The Great Wait

Shavuot, it's the name of Israel's Feast of Harvest. In Greek it's called Pentecost, the day God chose to bring the blessing of the Spirit - a day of great blessing. But in order for the disciples to see the blessings, they had to do one thing - they had to wait. Day after day they had to seek God. They waited and waited and nothing happened. They could have been disappointed and discouraged. They could have wondered why nothing was happening. But they kept on waiting in God's presence. And then the blessing came. The same is true for your life. God wants to bless you. But you have to keep going even when you don't see anything happening. Often it's only after you've been disappointed, but you've kept pressing on with God that the blessing comes. Keep going, believing, serving, ministering, rejoicing, and giving thanks. Bless Him even when you don't see anything happening. The blessing will come in His way and in His time. Keep going and He will always be faithful to you. You be the same to Him.
