When You Pray

In Matthew 6:5, the Lord says three important words, "When you pray..." What does that mean? It means prayer is so necessary there can be no 'if' about it. But notice something else. He doesn't say 'if' you pray... He says, "When you pray." Do you realize what He's doing? He's giving you the benefit of the doubt. He's assuming you already have a real prayer life. He believes in you enough to expect great things from your life. Are there great things in your life? Even if there aren't, it doesn't matter because Messiah has already spoken. And His Word is truer than your experiences or history. Take His words as a prophecy and start living that life of victory today. You can live a life of holiness, purity, prayer, and greatness. Begin with prayer. For the Lord gave you the benefit of the doubt. Start giving Him the benefit of the faith. He expects great things of you and by His Spirit you can do them.
