Once, I ordered an exercise machine that came unassembled in a box, filled with nuts, bolts, metal plates and rods. Assembling machines is not my strength. There were instructions, but I didn't quite follow them. I just put it together the way I thought it should be. Then I showed it to some people and they asked, "Did you put that together all by yourself? It looks like a real nice rowing machine." I said, "Rowing machine? It's supposed to be a bicycling machine!" The moral is if you put something together but don't read the instructions, it isn't going to work. In the same way, we were given an instruction book for life - the Bible. Follow its directions and it works. Ignore them, and it won't work. If you have no peace, joy or wholeness, chances are you're not doing things by the Book. The Maker of this Book is the Maker of your life. Get back to the instruction manual, the Master's directions, and it will all come together.
