The Direction of Infinity

There are four major directions in the world, broken down into two groups: north and south, and east and west. On the map, they look similar. But one is vertical and one is horizontal. On a globe, it's different. The north direction begins at the South Pole and the south direction begins at the North Pole. But east and west don't start at any pole - they don't merge or converge - they just go around and around. North and south have a distance of a few thousand miles but east and west are infinite - they never come together or end. Why is that significant? Because Psalm 103:12 says that God removed your sins, not as far as the north is from the south - that would be by a few thousand miles - "...but as far as the east is from the west." That's infinite! He died an infinite death, suffered an infinite suffering to save us with an infinite salvation, with infinite love. That's how much God loves us. So rejoice! He's loved and saved you, infinitely without end.
