The Power of the Prisoner

Monday, April 12, 2021

In the Book of Ephesians, written from prison, Paul called himself the "prisoner of the Lord." The word he used, prisdesmeeos, not only means prisoner, but also handicapped and disabled. Paul's hands were chained, yet, he still wrote those words along with many others. Had he not been in prison and disabled from preaching, we would never have all the scriptures written by him while there. Having that handicap actually freed him to reach millions throughout all generations. I'm sure that we all know people who are disabled in some way. Everyone has weaknesses or a handicap. Whether it's physical or emotional, we all have flaws, inabilities, and deficiencies. We all in some way could be called God's handicapped. So stop cursing your situation or your inability. Stop giving up because of a little handicap. Press on in His grace. Your weaknesses will become God's strength and that will be to His glory because in Christ, you are able.
