The Blessing of the Impossible

Years ago, we were on the verge of the greatest project in our history - the acquiring, entering in, renovating, and opening up of a building for ministry that was ten times the size of our former building. It was over our heads, but the Lord said, "Go." During this time, I read of an ordinary man named William Carey, who had a burden. Since Messiah gave the great commission, he thought, "Why not the world? Why not bring the Gospel to India." People told him it was impossible. But he didn't accept it. Carey ended up launching Modern Missions to India and brought multitudes to the Lord. One of his favorite quotes was: "Attempt great things for God, expect great things from God." Thinking of the building project, I wondered, "Lord, it's so big." And it was then that I received a letter that contained the quote of William Carey. A few months later, it was finished. We had attempted great things, and God had done great things. So too in your life. Attempt great things for God - and expect great things from Him.rn
