What if a man known for living an immoral life, who is sexually promiscuous, filled with perversity, a criminal, a murderer, violent and dangerous, comes to your house, and tells you, "I want to babysit your children, I want to be alone with them, you can trust me." Would you trust him? Would you leave your children with him alone in your house? Would you appoint him as a moral guardian and teacher to your loved ones? Would you even let him in the door? If you love your children and are a responsible parent, you would never allow that man within a stone's throw of your house. But many godly parents are doing that very thing. And you may be one of them. The stranger's name is television and you may have given him charge over your children. Guard your children. Bring them up in the way of the Lord, in moral virtue, in godliness, in sexual purity, and the love and truth of God, and keep them far from the ways of the stranger. rn
