The word demoniac refers to the demon-possessed man who hung out in the tombs. In Biblical times, tombs were thought to be the haunts for evil spirits. Even today, people see tombs and graves as places of darkness, evil, and fear. The demoniac was indwelt by demons and was led to dwell in tombs, places of darkness and fear. Where there is fear, there the enemy will dwell and move. So when you focus on darkness, when you look for or expect evil, you'll end up finding it - even if it wasn't there in the first place. It is written, "The Lord is my Shepherd, I will fear no evil." Focus, rather, on the Lord and His goodness. For greater is He who is within you than he who is in the world. You can't worship God if you're focusing on fearing the enemy. And you can't focus on fearing the enemy if you're worshiping God! Get out of the tomb, and get into the light - because the Lord dwells in light and the tomb is empty.rn
