The Soaking Principle

Have you ever made tea? You put the tea bag into the hot water and let it sit and then you stir it - it takes time. But believers often treat God the same way they treat fast-food - they partake of Him while on the run. When we do that, it's like putting the tea bag in the water then taking it right out. And then we complain that there isn't any tea. But God's love is not fast food. His love is more like tea. We are the water and His love, His truth, and His presence are in the tea bag. It's not a quick fix, it's not fast-food. It's like tea - you have to let it soak in. You have to spend time in God's presence. Let His presence not only dwell in your life, but remain in your life. Let the peace, love, joy, and purity of God soak into and penetrate your life and heart. The love, the Word and the presence of God are so good, it needs time to soak in and you need time to soak it up. rn
