The Bible calls David a man after God's own heart. How can that be when David committed adultery, lied about it, and caused the woman's husband to be killed? The Scriptures never say that David never fell or that he was godly in everything he did - but that he was a man after God's heart. The reason is, David never stopped seeking God. Even after his fall, Psalms 51 shows, he was still seeking God. In good times and bad, in righteousness and in moral failure, his heart always sought God. So too with you. No matter what happens, keep seeking God. David messed up big, but he continued to seek God always. So even after you've messed up, and no matter how big - keep seeking God. In good times and bad, when you feel close and when you feel far away - keep seeking God. And He will lead you to victory just as He led David. It's not about never messing up, because you will. But if you always seek God, you will be like David. It will be said that you lived your life after the heart of God.rn
