Newer Than Today

If you could go back in time, about 180 years, you would enter a world with no electricity, movies, phones, or radios. The main form of transportation would be horses, or occasionally a train. The United States would have been in the Civil War to abolish slavery. It was only 100 years before the Beatles and the 1960s, yet, it would be a foreign world, so antiquated we can hardly fathom it anymore. And yet, Messiah, who walked the earth over 2000 years ago, is newer than all that. His words from the first century are newer than the words of the 19th century. His words are as new today as they were 2,000 years ago, as new as this morning's devotionals. When you read His words, it's talking to you today. How does He do it? He is God, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is newer than new. If you think you know everything about Him, you don't know anything. He is new every moment. Seek after that which is always new. Come to Him every day and you will become like He is - newer than new!rn
