In Acts 9, Paul is in danger. People want to take his life, and he can't go out the regular way - through the door. So he shows us the out-the-window principle. The door is the place most people use, but if the door is somehow obstructed, we think there's no way to get out. In our lives we sometimes set our heart and mind so much on one route that if that one thing closes, we lose hope, thinking there is no other way. If a door closes in ministry or any door closes, don't get discouraged thinking the door of serving God or the door of fulfilling your calling is closed. Remember that the door isn't the only way. God's will doesn't depend on doors. If something is God's will, and He closes the door, He'll open a window. Maybe that door wasn't God's will, but it is God's will for you to serve Him. When the door closes, don't beat your head against it. Look for a window of ministry to open. Don't give up. Get up and look around, because chances are there's a window about to open.rn
