Tracing Messiah Into Your Life

Have you ever tried to draw a copy of a masterpiece and messed it up? If you put the masterpiece behind tracing paper and closely follow the lines, you will end up with an impressive image. 1 Peter 2:21 says that Messiah is our example. The word for example in the Greek is Huppogrammus. It means the underwriting, or the writing that's placed underneath and used to make an exact copy. Messiah's life is the Huppogrammus; the underwriting. When you apply this to your life, it can change everything. When you follow your own way you end up with a mess. You may not know how to produce a masterpiece of a life - but if you simply trace Messiah, your life can become a masterpiece. Trace Messiah. Put Him up against your life, in front of your life; line up your life and heart, to His heart and ways and see if it lines up. Learn of Him, be of Him, imitate Him, follow Him line-by-line, and don't go to the left or the right. Be like Him. Follow Messiah, the underwriting, the Huppogrammus, and your life will become a masterpiece.rn
