What is it that you worry about financial problems, relationship, medical or legal issues, ministry, family, terrorism, war, the future? It's natural to worry when you're in the midst of a problem. And it may be hard to trust when everything in your life seems to be hanging on a thread. But the next time you're in one of those situations, think about this. Every moment of your life is already hanging by the thread of one heartbeat. Every moment, you're never more than one heartbeat away from losing everything. And yet, God is keeping you. God is keeping that next heartbeat coming. If you have to trust Him for every heartbeat, what else do you have to worry about? How can you not trust Him to keep you in every crisis? No matter what situation you're in, what trouble, danger, problem, or crisis, do not fear. If you can trust God for your heartbeat, literally every second of your life, what would you possibly have to be worried about?
