Imagine a prince who is hit on the head and suffers amnesia. He wanders the streets, scrounging for meals, wearing tattered clothing, and begging. One day, he gets hit again and comes to his senses. So now, in order to live the life that he's called to live, he has to reject the way things appear and hold to his royal identity and his calling. The prince or princess is you. If you are born again, you are no longer a child of this world but are a royal child of the Most High. You may not look or feel like royalty, you might still have a begging bowl in your hand, but you are not a beggar. You are a royal child. And in order to live like a child of the King, you have to no longer live by what you see, by your eyes, your emotions, your feelings, your circumstances, or what you have been in the past. You must no longer define yourself by these things. Hold firm to who you are in Messiah. You are a royal heir who is recovering from a severe case of amnesia.rn
