rnIsaiah 53 says, "To whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed." The arm of the LORD is Messiah. The word "revealed," in Hebrew, is "galah" which also means to strip, make naked, to denigrate, to humiliate, take captive, sent into exile, and sent away. So it could be read: To whom has the arm of the LORD been made naked, stripped, denigrated, taken captive. It's amazing what's in the original Hebrew word because this is exactly what happened to Messiah. He was taken captive, stripped naked, humiliated, denigrated, and sent away. And from that same word galah comes the word galut: which is used for the Jewish exiles wandering the earth for the last 2000 years. And thus it links the Jewish people and their sufferings for 2000 years with the sufferings of Messiah. Thus, even when separated from Him, they're still joined to Him in their exile and suffering. Therefore when they return to Messiah, their sufferings will end. Because Messiah really did take our punishment, we'll never be judged. Messiah died for your sins; because of that and that alone, you and I are blessed.rn
