The Place Set Apart

Yom Kippur or The Day of Atonement was the holiest day on the Biblical calendar, the day when the people of Israel stood before God, and their sins were covered. But, God's acceptance of their sacrifice took place behind the veil in the Holy of Holies. The holiest time of Yom Kippur was done in the secret place. No one saw or heard it. The word holy means set apart. So as a child of God, you need to have in your life that which is set apart - a secret place, a secret time, set apart from your day to day life, your relationships, your congregation, and your ministry. It's easy even in doing the things of God to lose intimate time with God Himself. Therefore, the secret place should only big enough for you and God - where you leave all those things, to be alone with your Beloved, Himself. If you ignore the secret place, everything else will become dry and empty. If you set apart the secret place, then everything else will become full from its overflowing. So, come into His chambers, just you and Him, and be filled up in the radiance and glory of His presence hidden away in the secret place.rn
