Dying And Dyeing

The word Baptism in Greek is Baptismo. It was used in common Greek to speak of the process of dyeing fabric. To dye fabric, you submerge it into the liquid until every fiber is imbued with the new color. In the same way, we are told to be submerged in Messiah, not just in the ritual of water immersion but in His death, in dying to self. What does that mean? When we're immersed in Him, we die so we can be dyed with Him and with His nature. You cannot be dyed without being submerged. The more you submerge your life in Him, the more you will be imbued by His strength and Spirit. The more you submerge yourself in His life, the more His love will dye your heart and your soul. Submerge your heart in Him. Spend time every day submerged in His presence and glory. Soak in all His goodness, and you will be imbued, endowed, and colored by His presence and His nature. For if you will die with Him, you will be dyed with Him, and that is what Baptism is all about.rn
