Bringing It Into The Sunlight

What do evil and mold have in common? They both thrive in the darkness. Mold grows in the shadows where there's no sunlight, and evil thrives in the darkness where the light of God's truth is hidden. The enemy is always linked to darkness. But God is the light of the world. How do you apply this to your life? As much as you have immorality, sin, or anything that's unrighteous in your life, it can only live as it's kept in the darkness, hidden from God. It might be a secret indulgence or thought, carnality, a wound from the past, guilt, or shame. These things can only thrive as they're kept in the darkness away from God. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us. That ungodly thing in your life is like mold. Bring it out of the shadows and let the light of His presence come and shine on it. Then you'll see an amazing thing. It will start to wither and fade, and ultimately be gone from your life, just like a bad case of mold.
