The Elephant-Sized Truth

Several blind men were introduced to an object and asked to describe it. One man said, "It feels like a tree trunk." Another said, "It's a rope." Another said, "No, it's like a hose." Another said, "No, it's a spear." The object was an elephant. One man touched its leg, the next touched its tail, the next touched its trunk, and the last man touched its tusk. Each man was convinced his description was right, thinking the others were ignorant, dumb, or diluted. The Word of God is the Truth. And God's Truth is always bigger than our minds. But many believers see everything in terms of their thought process or personal experience. Each blind man had a part of the truth. But they were all wrong in that they mistook their part for the whole. As so with believers, denominations, and all the rest. Don't get wrapped up in arguments over God, if he's like a rope or a spear. He's bigger and greater than your thoughts and whatever you think. He is. So just worship Him, love Him, and follow Him. Everything else is just splitting up an elephant
