Don't Step on the Dog!

A man went into a store that was displaying a "beware of dog" sign. He cautiously looked around, but only found a very small harmless dog. Puzzled, he asked the store manager, "Is this the dog to beware of?" The manager answered "Yes. Until I put that sign up people kept stepping on him." Psalm 23 says, "I will fear no evil." But the attitude many believers have concerning evil is often fear. When you fear something, you show it respect, you respond and react to it, and you live in its shadow. The Bible says we're only to fear God. Because in that we will respect Him, react and respond to Him, and live in His light. Fear God, walk in His power and will, and you won't fear evil, or the enemy. It will be the enemy who fears you. Live in Messiah and the enemy will be like that dog; instead of fearing what harm he can do to you, it will only be an issue of stepping on him. And that's the one place he is to have in your life, that is, under your feet.
