Isaiah 55:10 says, "as the rain comes down... from heaven." The flow of life comes from heaven to earth. The earth can appear green for a while, but without the blessing of rain from heaven, it will ultimately end up barren. In the same way, it may seem like we can go without God in our lives, and we appear okay. Things might seem okay for a while, but in the end, our life will be dry and dead. Life without prayer and communion with God is like the earth without rain. Without God's blessing from heaven, your earthly life is going to dry up. It doesn't matter what you have: money, earthly love, sexuality, and even marriage without God, it all dries up, anything without God dries up. Even your ministry without God will become dry. So seek the Lord, turn your heart, your mind, and your strength back to heaven. Receive the waters of the Spirit. He will make your life and your walk come alive again as never before, because without prayer, without Him, it's like earth without heaven.
