There have been times when I'm away from my home and I feel like I'm starving. I see junk food (often red hot chips) and I buy it. Then I'm driving and eating, and I'll end up eating the entire bag. As I eat, my tongue becomes almost glow-in-the-dark red, my stomach doesn't know what hit it, and still, I keep eating until the bag is finished. Now I would never plan to do such a thing. So why did it happen? It happened because I let myself get too hungry. When you're hungry, you'll eat what you otherwise wouldn't eat - and way too much of it. This isn't just true with food, but also in the spiritual realm. If you let yourself get spiritually empty, you're putting yourself in danger - You can become vulnerable to falling to temptations you would otherwise never fall into. Therefore, fill yourself up with what is good; with the Lord, His joy, and His blessings. Make it a point to rejoice and delight in these things every day, and you'll end up with blessings, no regrets, and no spiritual indigestion.
From Message #1408 - The Honeycomb Secret
Today, fill up your hunger. Make it your aim to delight yourself in the good things of God. Fill up with His love and joy.
