The Wars of Jerusalem

What is the most attacked city on earth? Jerusalem. And yet Jerusalem is the City of God. Many believers think that if they belong to God, and if they're in God's will, then everything will always go smoothly for them. That sounds nice but it's not biblical. Jerusalem wasn't attacked in spite of the fact it was God's city, but for the very reason it was God's city. If you have God in your life and you still have problems, if you sometimes feel attacked from all sides, or wonder if you can really be his child and be so attacked, remember Jerusalem. You are the place of His dwelling. Yes, you'll have problems and attacks. But be encouraged, because Jerusalem remains even though past invading armies have vanished into the winds of history. You'll be very victorious if you hold on. So hang in there for God and be strong, because your problems will vanish but you'll stand; for greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
