The Book of Acts records an account when the apostle Paul and his fellow ministers were being followed by a woman demonically possessed. She doesn't scream blasphemies at them, she doesn't spit out blood, she doesn't spin her head around her neck, and she doesn't attack anyone - She doesn't do any of the things you'd normally expect of a normal demoniac. Instead she shouts out that Paul and his men are of God. Now why would a demon possessed woman do that? It would seem counterproductive. The reason is she's part of one of the devil's most little known strategies - the strategy of distraction. The woman is causing a distraction from the preaching of the Gospel. Distraction is one of the most effective of the strategies the enemy uses against God's people. The distraction may take the form of a problem, a nuisance, a crisis, a side issue, a conflict with another person, something on television, radio, the internet, anything. So be wise. Stay focused. Keep your eyes on the Lord, and your aim on His calling. For the devil is not only in the demoniac - he's in the distraction.
From Message #1325 - The Strategies Of Warfare I
Is there something in your life that is draining your energy and it's not from God, but the enemy? Refocus your energy and your passion to the things of God.
