THE DECISION

We stand at a critical juncture. Very soon America will choose its course for the next few years and, in many ways, far beyond them. Most of us have never seen an election like this one. What does it mean? And what does it mean for our future? We have two candidates, none of whom can by any biblical measurement be called a born again believer, or one whose life is grounded on the Word of God. The fact that the plurality of evangelical believers turned down several candidates who were clear running on biblical principles may, in itself, comprise a sign of judgment. THE ANCIENT PATTERN in the The Harbinger, the pattern of national judgment that led to the destruction of Israel is this: The nation is warned of judgment. But instead of turning back to God, it responds with defiance and arrogance, vowing to come back stronger than before, to make the nation great again (Isaiah 9:10) but without turning back to God. On the Republican side is a candidate who is promising he will "make America great again" but not with a spirit of repentance and humility, not with any call to return to God, but in a spirit of pride and what many would see as arrogance. It is, in effect, Isaiah 9:10. People don't realize but Donald Trump actually appears in The Harbinger. I won't say where it is, but he's there, and the link is to Isaiah 9:10. THE OTHER SIDE: "Deep-seated religious beliefs... must be changed." That's a quote one would expect from Vladimir Lenin or Joseph Stalin. But it came from Hillary Clinton, who said that deep-seated religious beliefs must be changed - so that abortion can increase. If the Democratic candidate is elected, the Supreme Court will shift to the left, resulting in ruling after ruling against the ways of God, against His people, against religious liberty. THE STONE AND THE HILL : So if the Democratic candidate is elected president, we can expect America led in a direction of continual apostasy from God. On the other hand, if the Republican candidate is elected there is hope concerning the Supreme Court, and several other issues. But on the other hand, no one knows what he will do. There is hope that it could better, but it also could be worse. Either way, at this point, the stone of America's apostasy is rolling down the hill. So if the next president is not strong in stopping it, the apostasy will not only continue, but accelerate. In short, we are in for some dramatic times. Each must pray what to do or not do concerning this coming election. And more than anything, we need to be seeking God praying for revival, and living in revival now. The only hope we have is the one who cannot be elected. This month pray for revival in this nation, and live in it now. And may God greatly bless you as you do.
