On Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the biblical year, the Day of Atonement, the scapegoat is sent out from the west to the east. Psalm 103 says that He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west. The scapegoat would be gone to remove the sins, going from the west to the east. The word for east in Hebrew is kedem. The prophecy in Micah 5 says that Messiah will be born in Bethlehem. It reads His goings forth are from kedem, meaning the east. Kedem also means eternity. Messiah comes from eternity. Therefore, He can remove our sins eternally away from us. As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our sins from us. He is the One from kedem, which means eternity. It also means east, but He removes our sins as far as eternity. So be free, no matter what. If you search the universe, you will never find your sins again - in Him. Thank God, He is the One who is from kedem, the scapegoat.
From Message #1206 Sixteen Secrets Of Yom Kippur
Today, spend time praising God that Messiah is your scapegoat. Confess all sins to Him and accept that they are cast away forever.
